I have always thought the Union has done an Excellent Job.  I should know, I was helped.

As far as what could be done differently, I would appreciate the minutes of each meeting sent to my office the week after the monthly meeting.  I have my church choir rehearsal on Thursday nights and am unable to attend.  I would like to be kept up to date sooner than waiting for the next Salt City Post. (Although I do enjoy reading the Post)

Now that our OIC boss from Hell, Sue Rubin is gone, things have improved so smuch.  I wish we could have had help getting her out of there sooner than the six months we had to deal with her.  She ruined our clerk budget and our moral at work.  Darle Smith is such abreath of fresh air here.  We will have to endure much criticism from Poom Gail for using too many hours, hours that We should have been working on the window, not Sue using our clerk hours working on the window.  She cut our weekly budget from 100 hours a week for clerk hours to under 70 with me the full time clerk and two PTF's.  One of our PTF's, Diane Cunningham, has put in a transfer to Fulton for lack of hour here.  I'm afraid they may not replace her with another clerk.  Or worse, convert my position back to a PTF. We need at least three clerks in our level 18 office to survive vacations, sick days, etc.  I've got 20 years in, I would like to just finish my career up here and at a decent FT salary I'm concerned.

My co-worker Bob Russell, has been able to attend some meetings.  He would make a good officer or steward.  You should approach him.  As for me, I'll sing at any event, but I'm not officer material.

Very limited Union sponsored information.  The USPS continues to BS the public, and except in rare instances, gets away with broadcasting the mis-information. 

Perhaps getting members more aware of these tactics, and broadcasting the limited  successes locals have had might help folks to take their jobs, and the USPS decisions about those jobs, more seriously.   Yes, I know, easy to say, but hard to get people to work for themselves.

Whats going on that needs to be addressed=

I am encouraged by the current Local Administration's refusal to believe the BS that they are handed.  I feel sure that they are handed over 10# of manure daily, and if the local is able to de-bunk 3# of it, we are doing much better with the reality of the USPS than Management expects.  The unfortunate part is they can, and do, always "dial up" the manure spreading machine.
